50th Anniversary Celebration
of the
Parma Hilton Historical Society

The Parma Hilton Historical Society celebrated its golden anniversary with a grand affair! Joining us in recognition of our fifty-year history were our county and state historians – Caroline Vacca and Devin Lander, respectively.

Over 170 members from Parma, Hilton, and our surrounding communities were on hand as we boasted – just a little – about our many accomplishments.

We celebrated fifty-years as the “Parma Hilton Historical Society” thanks to a group of men and women who decided in 1969, although we suspect the wheels were in motion long before, to PRESERVE, DISCOVER and EDUCATE others about our little slice of American Pie – Parma and Hilton, New York. What started as a vision morphed from a living-room venture to a much-envied, multi-room facility and museum which we are extremely proud of..

As we look back on our history we also look forward to our future as we work to gain a strong presence on the internet, leaving our digital footprint where none existed before. Progress is history’s legacy.

Through the support of our community and members such as yourselves, we spent an entertaining evening honoring the hard work of those before us as well as those who are currently serving in the best interests of our history.

As was highlighted during an illuminating presentation, we are an all-volunteer organization and we give of our time as we can to further our mission – to ensure that our history will not be forgotten.

Happy 50th
Birthday
Parma Hilton
Historical Society

With over 170 in attendance, we needed a venue capable of handling the evening’s festivities and the Hilton Exempts Club was definitely up to the task.

Foster’s Restaurant complimented the program by serving a delicious buffet including carved beef top round, chicken french, shrimp scampi, salt potatoes, rice pilaf, California-mix vegetables, salad, rolls & butter.

And our birthday cake . . . .let’s just say it punctuated the evening like fireworks on the fourth of July with a whole lot of yuuummmm, too!

Come and be part of our history!
