Hoosic Cemetery

Located in the west-side of Greece, New York, Hoosic Cemetery can be found on the Southwest corner of Manitou and Ridge Road west.
The above intersection was once a small community called West Greece. Half of the community was in Parma and the other half in Greece.
The first frame church edifice in the town was constructed next to the cemetery on the hill that is now Manitou Rd. The church was removed in the early 1900’s so that Manitou Rd. could be straightened.
Burials in this cemetery include several Revolutionary War Veterans along with many of the earliest settlers of Parma-On-the-Ridge.
