Bezebel Atchinson was born on December 3, 1737, in Tolland County, Connecticut.  His parents were John Atchinson (a soldier in the French and Indian War) and Anna Wood Hunt.  It is believed that Bezabel was a soldier in the Connecticut Militia during the Revolutionary War.

Bezebel moved to Parma around 1800 to live with his son Bezeleel and family that had settled on Hill Road.  He passed away on September 25, 1813 and is buried in Atchinson Cemetery.
